The Royal Opera House will be putting on a double production of two classic operas: Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Ruggero Leoncavallo's Pagliacci.
Damiano Michieletto's Olivier Award-winning production is set in a southern Italian village where emotions erupt when a travelling theatre arrives in town, setting of a storm of uncontrollable jealousy.
The intense drama is heightened with some instantly recognisable melodies.
