Historic Royal Palaces have joined together with Layered Reality to create a thrilling new immersive adventure housed inside a purpose-built venue by Tower Vaults, next-door to the Tower of London.
Visitors will be able to travel back in time to the dark and dangerous streets of London in 1605 to witness England's most daring conspiracy first-hand. But you'll not just watch the events unfold, you'll actually be a part of them... jumping right into the heart of the story in which you are the protagonist!

Your mission will begin with an exhilarating attempt to escape the Tower of London and rush to the safety of a secret house. There you'll meet the rebels and infiltrate their inner circle, hatch a plan in the Duck & Drake Inn, and smuggle the gunpowder in a boat up the Thames towards the Houses of Parliament.
But who are the traitors spying for the Crown? And will you be able to escape the attentions of the parliament guards before your head ends up on a spike?
VR headsets, live actors and special effects
The 1 hour 40 minute show is brought to life through a combination of live actors on million pound sets, motion simulators with special effects, and three incredibly atmospheric virtual reality scenes.
The fully 360-degree environment will tease all five of your senses with real, physical sensations, making you feel as if you're really there in 17th-century London -- it's the closest you'll ever get to time travel!
Frequently asked questions
The experience can be enjoyed by the whole family, but due to some of the story content and technologies involved it is recommend that children are over the age of 10. There are a few shocks and surprises along the way, but most people won't find it too scary.
Talented actors (led by Tom Fulton) will guide you through the entire story, but it's not an escape room or participation event like the ones in the London Dungeon, so you don't have to solve puzzles or do any role play. Everybody will get to interact with the actors if they wish, but how much you actually get involved will be left up to you.
