Hotel accommodation near the Barbican
The Barbican is on the northern edge of the Square Mile, at the fringes of the central touristy area. It’s not the prettiest part of town but its location makes it a decent place to stay for a few days.
Nearby attractions include the Museum of London and St. Paul’s Cathedral. You can easily walk to the Bank of England and Royal Exchange as well, but the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and Covent Garden are probably at the limit of where you’d want to walk to (about 30-40 minutes each, depending on where you’re staying). You’ll definitely have to catch a bus or tube train to Westminster and the theatres in the West End.
