London City Guide

Hotel accommodation in Chelsea

Chelsea is the rather affluent area on the bank of the Thames that used to be frequented by famous artists, painters and poets. It’s cut through by the King’s Road which has Chelsea football club at one end and Sloane Square at the other.

It’s probably a bit too far away from the main touristy areas for most people, but it does have the famous Saatchi Gallery, Royal Hospital, National Army Museum and Chelsea Physic Garden to visit. Depending on where you stay you might also be within walking distance of the big museums in South Kensington.

A luxurious looking hotel overlooking the boats in the Chelsea marina. It’s only 15 minutes walk to Stamford Bridge but it’s a long way from the centre of town so expect to be travelling everywhere else on the bus and tube
