If you want a cheap but decent hotel then this isn’t too bad. The Square Mile is within walking distance but you’ll have to catch a bus or tube to anything west of St. Paul’s

Probably better suited to business travellers rather than tourists, as the closest attraction within walking distance is the Barbican (17 minutes). Bank will take you 24 minutes. St. Paul’s Cathedral 27 minutes, and the Tower of London 36 minutes

With a 17 minute walk to Liverpool Street station maybe it’s a bit too far away from the central touristy area to recommend to tourists, but Shoreditch is a decent place to stay for business travellers
