Andrew Lloyd Webber's much-loved musical The Phantom of the Opera has been captivating West End audiences for more than 35 years, picking up over 70 major theatre awards including 3 Olivers and 7 Tonys during its record-breaking run.

Beneath the splendour of the Paris Opera House lurks the legendary Phantom... a horribly scarred composer who lives a lonely existence in the bowels of the building because he's shamed by his ugly appearance.

But then he sees the beautiful chorus girl Christine and dares to venture upstairs to meet her, training her to sing the music of the night.

After falling hopelessly in love he discovers that she's already promised to another, and begins a campaign of terror to win her heart.

The West End's most stunning set

Her Majesty's Theatre houses one of the West End's most lavish sets. At one point the Phantom's boat glides across an underground lake with glowing candles rising up out of the misty water... and if you don't already know what happens to the gigantic chandelier that hangs precariously above the audience then we won't spoil the surprise!

Andrew Lloyd Webber's memorable score

The haunting score contains some of Webber's most memorable tunes, including Music Of The Night, All I Ask Of You, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, Masquerade, and the iconic title song Phantom Of The Opera.
