The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the gardening equivalent of Ascot with cutting-edge garden designs and fantastic floral displays. Some of the most green-fingered people in the country will spend weeks planning out their little plots in the grounds of Christopher Wren's Royal Hospital.
Expect a mesmerising array of plants and gardens from some of the world's leading growers, florists and nurserymen, demonstrating how even a modest urban space can be transformed into a captivating garden. Some of the designs are almost like mini-film sets.
There will be plenty of horticultural products on sale as well, from the latest gardening gadgets to ponds, plants and garden art.
You can usually count on spotting plenty of celebrities as well -- and maybe even the King! [Note: the celebrities usually attend on the first two days only, which are reserved for RHS members.]
