As one of the few working palaces remaining in the world, Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and the official London residence of His Majesty The King, as well as the administrative headquarters of the entire Royal Household.
The annual Summer Opening allows tourists to see inside the lavishly decorated State Rooms, but you're limited to listening to the commentary on a pair of headphones, whereas this extra special tour will be in the company of an expert guide.
As you walk through Buckingham Palace's magnificent rooms the guide will point out all the gilded ceilings, glittering chandeliers and treasures from the Royal Collection, including priceless pieces of French furniture, Sevres porcelain and Old Master artworks.
The whole experience lasts for 90 minutes and includes a copy of the official souvenir guide.
Craig has been to the Summer Opening five times and ranks it as one of the best things to do in London.
