Visit two of the world's most beautiful university cities - Oxford and Cambridge -- on this full day tour from central London.
After boarding a luxury air-conditioned coach near Victoria, your professional guide will share some stories and history of the colleges as you drive towards the 'City of the Dreaming Spires'.
Upon arrival in Oxford you'll follow in the footsteps of famous students like CS Lewis, David Cameron and US President Bill Clinton on a guided walking tour, strolling around the beautiful college courtyards, cobbled lanes and narrow alleyways of this historic town (1 hour 30 mins).
One of the highlights will be Christ Church College - instantly recognisable to Harry Potter fans as one of the locations used in the movies. You'll even see the Great Hall which was used as the setting for Hogwarts (45 mins).
Then it's back on the coach for your journey to Cambridge, where your first stop will be the famous Senate House and Corpus Clock - a unique invention outside Corpus Christi College that was first revealed to the world by Professor Stephen Hawking.
Other highlights will include the 300-year-old Mathematical Bridge which a lot of people believe was designed by Sir Isaac Newton out of purely straight timbers... so how did he manage to make the bridge arch over?
Then it's on to the exquisite King's College Chapel. Started in 1446 during the reign of Henry VI, this gothic masterpiece took over 100 years to build and contains the world's largest fan vault and some breathtaking stained glass windows (30 mins).
