The Olivier Award-winning new musical Standing At The Sky’s Edge draws a picture of modern Britain through the eyes of people living on one housing estate in Sheffield.
Poppy is trying to escape her miseable old life in London, Joy and Jimmy just want to spend the rest of their lives together, whilst Rose and Harry are still waiting to begin the new life that they've been promised.
The show is a hilarious, heartfelt, gut-wrenching exploration of community, following the highs, lows, hopes and dreams of three generations of family across six tumultuous decades.
Soundtrack of songs by Richard Hawley
The show features music by Richard Hawley -- best-known as a member of the Britpop band Pulp before he found success as a solo artist -- and a stunning set that brings the towering architecture of Park Hill vividly to life.
