6comments Hi Pam. i would definitely get the piccadilly line and walk from Covent Garden. Its only a five minute walk, and you can walk through the centre of the piazza which will be nice. embankment is just as close, but changing trains would be a hassle. Although you would get a quick look at trafalgar square and nelsons column as you walk past charing cross

2comments Hi Sherrie. It’s close to some of the attractions. You can have a nice walk to Bank and the Royal Exchange, and across the Millennium Bridge to the Tate Modern and Shakespeares Globe, but the areas around the West End, Trafalgar Square and Tower Bridge are about 1 and a half miles away. Big Ben and Buckingham Palace about 2 miles. All easy enough to walk, but you’ll probably end up getting buses to most places. there are loads of buses going down Fleet Street and up towards the City. I would happily stay there if it was me

6comments Hi Maggie. Don’t worry, you’ll enjoy it. I stayed there for a couple of nights on my own and I tried the Rivoli Bar, breakfast in the morning, meal in the evening… all by myself. All the staff are super polite and treat everyone like they’re the most important person there. You will be spoiled… and everyone dresses up for breakfast

3comments Thanks Vicky. I definitely recommend the hotel for the price so you should like it. It’s in the perfect spot

1comments We certainly recommend this hotel based on our experience. The inside is lovely and the staff were wonderful and couldn’t have been more friendly to us. Thank you

4comments Hi Mac. Check-in time is 3 PM, and check-out time is 12 noon

1comments We stayed here for a few nights in the summer and we loved it. It was so lovely to have St. Paul’s Cathedral on our doorstep every time we left in the morning, and we felt like we were right in the heart of London every time we stepped out of the front door. It is a great base to plan your holiday from, with so many options nearby

4comments Hi MarlonP. It’s about a five-minute walk to Gloucester Road station, and fifteen minutes to South Kensington station

1comments I agree it’s not the prettiest hotel in London but come on, for this price you can’t complain and the location is great, just a few minutes walk Covent Garden. There aren’t many cheap hotels in this area so Travelodge are worth considering

2comments Hi Lena. No, the hotel doesn’t have a car park

4comments Hi Amy. No, you’re definitely going to have to get a bus or tube. It’s about a fifteen minute walk just to Marble Arch. It would probably take you the best part of an hour to walk to Trafalgar Square

2comments Hi Omar. Pimlico is about a five-minute walk away. Victoria is about ten minutes

5comments I am worried about the height and worry that I won’t be able to sleep. Knowing that I am so high up will keep me awake!

1comments We had a wonderful stay here during our trip to London. Very convenient location, close to the transport links, but nicely situated in a back street so it wasn’t too noisy for us. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. Would definitely recommend

2comments This is pretty much the definition of a no-fuss hotel. The room has everything you need for an overnight stay.

3comments We stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful stay. The location was amazing by the London landmarks Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. I recommend to everyone to forgo the buses and catch the easy-to-use Thames Clipper boats which stop just by the hotel. We had such a lovely time travelling down the river every day

4comments Hi Trevor. It’s true that the room was small but they pack so much stuff into it that I wasn’t really that fussed about the size, and it was very nicely decorated as well. I was only there for two nights but I’d be happy staying there for a week. And you can’t really get a better location than halfway up Shaftesbury Avenue – it’s right in the heart of everything

4comments Hi PBrock. I wouldn’t exactly say it’s central, but I still think it’s in a good location. The only attractions you can really walk to are the Tower of London and Tower Bridge (15-20 mins walk) and St. Pauls Cathedral (20 mins), and the City area around Bank. The hotel is literally next-door to Liverpool Street station so you can easily get the tube all over town, and there’s a bus station there as well so there are plenty of buses. A bus to Trafalgar Square will take about 20-25 mins. One to Big Ben will take about 25 mins – the location is probably the one thing about this hotel that I actually liked!

4comments Hi LGill. The check-in time is 3 PM, and the checking-out time is 11 AM

3comments We stayed for a couple of nights and absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful hotel with lovely staff who can’t do enough for you, always with a smile on their face. We don’t usually eat in hotels because we like to get out and see the city we’re visiting, but in this case we made an exception. The location is fantastic as well

4comments Hi Brian. They’ve got a deal with the underground Q Park which is practically next-door. It’s quite pricey though, at the time of writing it’s 39 quid a day (ten quid cheaper than the public would pay) – q-park.co.uk/en-gb/cities/london/trafalgar/

4comments Hi Niamh. The location is pretty much perfect – you can walk to Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden. Big Ben and St. Paul’s are a bit further, but still easily walkable. You can walk straight over Waterloo Bridge to places like the London Eye and Tate Modern as well.
