Your comments and questions
Greg Earl's Court is zone 1 and 2 so how is it decided what fare you pay?
Staff It depends on which direction you're travelling. If you pass through zone 1 and then disembark at Earl's Court, or you board at Earl's Court and then head into zone 1, then it will be zone 1. But if you pass through zone 2 and disembark at Earl's Court, or you board at Earl's Court and then head into zone 2, it will be zone 2.
Magda Hi I have a Oyster card for one week 2-4 zones pls tell me if I want to go from Earl's Court to Notting Hill Gate by underground train do I have to pay extra or is my travelcard fine?
Staff Hi Magda. Both stations are in zone 1&2, but the journey itself goes through zone 1 (via High Street Kensington), so your travelcard wouldn't cover it.
Geoff Train departure during off-peak, but arrival after 4 PM. Peak or off-peak fare payable?
Staff Hi Geoff. The fare is always based on what time your journey starts. So if you start during off-peak then it will be off-peak. It doesn't matter what time your journey finishes.
Ben Hi, can I buy a travel card from this station? Thank you.
Staff Hi Ben, sure. You can get the 1-day and weekly travelcards from the ticket machine
Sunil Nair Is there an Oyster card shop?
Staff Hi Sunil. There's a couple inside and a Food&Wine shop which is literally nextdoor - tfl.gov.uk/maps/oyster-ticket-stops?Input=Earls+Court+Station%2C+Warwick+Road%2C+London%2C+UK&InputGeolocation=51.49156951904297%2C-0.1939564049243927
Sonia Hi I have a travel Oyster card for one week 2-5 zones pls tell me if I want to go from West Harrow to Earl's Court by underground train do I have to pay extra or is my travelcard fine?
Staff Hi Sonia. It would be okay as long as you avoid zone 1 on the route, so you'd have to go via Raynor's Lane, then changing onto the Piccadilly line to Earl's Court.
Richard Is there a lift from east bound district line to picadilly line with no stairs
Staff Hi Richard. There is a lift. (There are stairs as well, but you don't have to use them.)
Milan Hi, I have travelcard of zone 2-4 and I want to go to Wimbledon from earl's court so do I need to pay any extra cost for my travelling??
Staff Hi Milan. No, you are okay. It's only if you're traveling towards zone 1, or coming from zone 1, that Earl's Court will count as zone 1
Guest What is the 3 letter code for earls court?
Staff Not sure what you're referring to, but TFL uses ECTadfasfd
Kim Hi, I’m travelling from Ealing Broadway to Wimbledon (district line). Why do I get charged exta £2.50 on top of my weekly 2-5 zone travel card?
Staff Hi Kim. It should be all right if you’re changing trains at Earls Court because it’s a zone 2-3 journey. If you go beyond that then you’d be into zone 1, which would explain the £2.50. I’d recommend registering your Oyster card on the TFL site because then you can see exactly which journey they’re charging you for
Annemarie Does this station have a passport photo booth?
Staff There definitely used to be. You could also try the post office a short distance down the road - postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder/1180088/earls-court-road
RI Can I buy Oyster card at the station? I want to use it as a weekly zone 1-2 travel card?
Staff Hi Ri. If you look at the comment further up there's a link showing a map of all the places you can get Oyster cards near Earl's Court
Ann I am confused from reading the additional information. Do I have to use the 8 stairs to catch a train or to exit from Earl's Court or is there is a lift for access to all trains.
Staff Hi Ann. There is a lift down to the platforms, but if you use the entrance on Earl’s Court Road then you'll also have a flight of stairs. If you use the entrance on Warwick Road then you won't
