Notting Hill Gate station is in zones 1&2 (central London is zone 1). If your train journey starts at Notting Hill Gate and heads towards fare zone 1 then it will count as zone 1. If it heads towards fare zone 2 then it will count as zone 2. If your journey ends at Notting Hill Gate and came from zone 1 then it will count as zone 1. After that you must use another two flights of stairs to the Notting Hill Gate southside exit (9 steps up +17 steps up), or three flights to the northside exit (4 steps down +11 steps up +18 steps up)

Changing train platforms – You must use stairs when changing between the Central line platforms and the Circle/District line platforms
