Your comments and questions

Sara How far is the Olympic Stadium from Stratford station?

Staff Hi Sara. Not very far. From memory it's only about a 10-15 min walk

Giles Is the station manned on a Sunday? I need to buy a travel ticket and have questions

Staff Hi Giles. They've got a manned window upstairs because it's a national rail station (underground stations only have self-service machines)

Gav How far is this station from Travelodge Stratford walking please

Staff Hi Gav. Its just a five minute walk up Jupp Road

Pauline Can I get a lift from Stratford overground to the hammersmith underground line

Staff Hi Pauline. Not sure what you mean because the Hammersmith & City line doesnt go to Stratford, and none of the other lines go to Hammersmith.

Laura I am scared of lifts and escolaters is there stairs too i can use?! Coming from southend vic to stratford then over to westfield

Staff Hi Laura, they do have stairs that you can use instead of the lifts and escalators. It’s all described in the ‘Platform stairs, lifts and escalators’ section above

Sue How do I get to platform 6 Central line east when I get off the Greater Anglia train from Ipswich

Staff Platform 6 is on the upper level, where all the national rail platforms are, so you'll just have to use some stairs (or a lift) to walk across to it from whichever platform you arrive at

Francesca Coming from London City Airport and having to take the Central Line, are there lifts or escalators? Is it very far? I have two big suitcases

Staff Hi Francesca, Its not too far… it should be platform 4a or b to platform 3 or 6 depending on which way you're going. you can get a lift between them

Stephen Will there be a normal service in opposition on Wed 15th dec?

Staff Hi Stephen. Thats not a strike date, but they’re warning of some knock-on disruption from the previous day’s strike on the Elizabeth line, London Overground and National Rail.

Nda We have friends arriving into Stratford late on Friday evening. Until what time is there a manned ticket office, as they will need to buy Oyster cards? Thank you.

Staff Hi Nda, Monday-Friday is 06:15 - 21:30. if they have UK bank cards then they could always use them instead. Its the same price as oyster, but without the deposit on top

Richard Is there a lift connecting the Elizabeth line to the Central line?

Jean I am able to access the Jubilee line by leaving my overland train crossing the platform straight onto the Jubilee line, how do I pay for this journey

Staff Hi Jean. Assuming the overland train is within the London zones then it’s all counted as part of the same journey. It won’t come to an end until you exit through a ticket barrier. But if you have an overland train ticket that ends at Stratford, and you want to continue travelling on, then you'll have to make sure you buy another ticket in advance, or exit through a ticket barrier and then use your contactless card or oyster card to pay for the next bit

Geoffrey How to get to platform 3 from platform 9

Staff Hi Geoffrey. You have to use the stairs or lift on platform 3 to get down to the subway, and then you just walk across to platform 9. Here's a map - images.nationalrail.co.uk/e8xgegruud3g/39vHBksgkh5fOjT4VAxTCS/810e82b97f5c945f56ea9239e90ad830/Stratford__London__station_map.JPG

Guest Coming from Norwich, how do I get from the railway platform to the Jubilee line platform that goes to Canary Wharf? Add, what are thise platform numbers?

Staff Hello. here’s a station map. You”ll likely be coming in on platforms 9-12, and you’ll have to go to a jubilee westbound platform, which is 13-15 - images.nationalrail.co.uk/e8xgegruud3g/39vHBksgkh5fOjT4VAxTCS/810e82b97f5c945f56ea9239e90ad830/Stratford__London__station_map.JPG
