St. Paul’s Cathedral Evensong 5comments Jane Craig you might like to try St. Barts the Great. V old. V high church. Loads of incense. Some singing in Latin. Charismatic and smart bunch of preachers, if you ever want to listen. Whether you believe or not, these people can sometimes make a lot of sense. And their choir is terrific. Smaller but the oldest parish church in London
The Cenotaph 6comments Staff Hi Richard. There’s no official date when they’re taken away, but they’ll almost certainly be there throughout December. There’s usually some all year round

State Opening of Parliament 2comments Staff Hi Rob. It does, but the date changes around a bit. It’s either held soon after a general election or on the first day of the parliamentary session, and because general elections are usually held in May most of the time it happens in May as well
Changing the Guard at Horse Guards 4comments Staff Hi Rob. Yes it’s on every day. On Monday to Saturday it’s 10:50 AM to 11:30 AM, and on Sunday it’s 9:50 AM to 10:30 AM, although you should try and get there earlier to bag a decent spot
18 Stafford Terrace 1comments mags We are big fans of Downton Abbey and thought 18 Stafford Terrace might be an interesting snapshot of the era, and whilst of course it was not anywhere near as big or luxurious because it is just a normal home, it did transport us back in time. But it was also surprising how much has NOT changed in our lives, and has remained the same over the years
Windsor Castle 14comments Staff Hi Said, I think they’re both well-worth seeing, but if I had to plump for just one then I’d probably go for Buckingham Palace. There’s definitely a lot more to see at Windsor Caste, but it’s more of a day trip, so if you’ve got limited time then you’ll have more time to squeeze in other attractions if you just spend a couple of hours at Buckingham Palace. But that’s assuming you come during the summer when the State Rooms are open. If you come at any other time of year then Windsor Castle is better, because that stays open all year round
Winchester Palace 1comments M Price We discovered this walking along the river (going to Borough Market which we recommend!) and even though there is not a lot to see, it’s another of London’s intriguing hidden things that you regularly find whilst walking the streets. There is always something to see in London
Wellington Barracks 1comments janet Hello. Yes, we saw these soldiers when we heard some music from St. James’s Park and tried to find where it was coming from, and then we watched them practising from behind the fence. London is full of surprises!
Wellington Arch 1comments dan We didn’t see the queen in the garden
Warner Bros. Studios 6comments Staff Hi HG. You have to buy your tickets online in advance, and pick a date and time slot. You’re not allowed to just turn up at the door and buy them on the day.
Wallace Collection 4comments Staff Hi Anthony, it’s just a ten minute walk from Bond Street station… probably not even that.
