8comments Hi Sandra. I don’t know how many soldiers they rotate throughout the day in total, but depending on what time you get there you might see two cavalrymen on Whitehall, two Foot Guards on either side of the courtyard, one inside the arch, or one by the front gate. their movements are described here – city-guide.london/events/?p=15787 The soldiers live at Hyde Park Barracks and Wellington Barracks (by St. James Park)

17comments Hi Dee. Some of the smaller shops in central London might be closed and the larger shops might have Sunday opening hours, but the attractions will be open.

4comments Hi Denis. You’re right, they’re supposed to be facing the wrong way. They say it goes back to the original sphinx who’s facing away from the Great Pyramid

2comments Hi Trevor. There’s a ‘Tickets’ section in the grey box above, but here’s the link – ovoarena.co.uk/events/detail/the-cure-1

2comments Hi Eduardo. The events run from 3 PM to 8 PM but we have no info on what time the actual switch-on takes place. We’ve sent them a message on Twitter to find out

4comments Hi Jess. You can pick up the envelope from the Notes Coffee shop during their opening hours (their opening hours are shown in the When? section above). Once you’ve got the envelope you’ll have everything you need, so can start and finish any time you like

3comments I will be going in December of 2022, I cannot wait !!!!!

2comments Hi Vicki. It’s closing on 12th March 2023

30comments you just have a policeman standing every fifteen feet down the road, so they’ll have an unobstructed view of the entire parade marching down Whitehall. they just wont be able to see any of the royals on the other side of the cenotaph, because unlike the veterans they don’t parade down the road

4comments Hi Julia. We havent seen an official announcement about the entire route yet, but the assumption is that it will be the same as yesterday, but in reverse… so through the central arch of Horse Guards and across the parade ground, then up the Mall. Once it gets to Buckingham Palace it will go up Constitution Hill to Wellington Arch.

4comments Hi Sophia. They will be updating everyone on where the end of the queue is on their social media pages – twitter.com/DCMS facebook.com/dcmsgovuk/

5comments Hi Craig visited brompton oratory last week 26august what a beautiful church and thanks to your brilliant review I would never have known about this great church. Yours patrick

1comments I want to go for the event

2comments Hi Emwed. It seems like it might have been cancelled as you can’t buy tickets any more, and their website has closed down. But there’s been no official announcement that we can find

1comments how many hours is the pearl jam concert July 9, 2022

1comments Good morning. I’d like to join on July 15th. See you.

2comments Hi Joy. At the moment the running time is still to be confirmed

2comments Hi Kevin. You can do, the box office opens at least 2 hours before the performance.

2comments Hi Looby. At the moment it’s £18 for an adult, £16 for seniors, £7.70 for a child (6-17) and £43,70 for a family (2ad+2ch)

6comments Hi Naz. If you’re attending the parade then normally I’d say somewhere around the top end of the Mall, on the bend before the Queen Victoria Memorial, but this year is going to be extra busy because of the Platinum Jubilee and maybe all the best places will be taken by people camping overnight. If you’re just going for a picnic then St. James’s Park is definitely better, but given that there are going to be tens of thousands of people lining the Mall and down around Horse Guards the park will probably be packed like sardines. You won’t be able to see the parade over the crowd but you’ll hear all the music and watch the flypast roar over your head at 1 PM. If you want more space then try Hyde Park. There’s a gun salute in Hyde Park at 12 PM, and you should still be able to see the flypast going over.

2comments Hi Clara. Their official info says “All ages are welcome… however, please note the tour is best suited for children aged 5 and above” – terriblethames.com/faqs/

5comments Fabulous place, always enjoy visiting by train from Greenwich. As an older visitor the last time was very upsetting getting stranded in the middle of the road at the signalled crossing with no pedestrian phase. I cannot believe the local council do not recognise that people will want to travel sustainably to such a significant visitor centre. Are they trying to discourage visitors by making access dangerous when all that is needed is a pedestrian phase? Will drive in future. Ian Brown CBE.

9comments Hi Frank, No, they dont let you take any pictures during services – westminster-abbey.org/visit-us/photography-in-the-abbey

11comments Hi Darren, if you mean a paid tour then no, I don’t think so. But you can certainly visit all of those in a day easy enough, they are all within easy walking distance apart from Tower Bridge. I would recommend visiting Buckingham Palace, then walking to Parliament (via Trafalgar Square and Whitehall past Horse Guards and Downing Street) then walking over Westminster Bridge to the London Eye, then you can maybe catch a boat from Westminster Pier afterwards (City Cruises and TRS both depart from Big Ben) and ride it all the way up to Tower Bridge, giving you a look at landmarks like St. Pauls, the Globe, the Shard, HMS Belfast and the Tower of London along the way

1comments Largely sold out

20comments We have tried to book on line and filled in the form as required. We were then told a 6 figure password would be sent. It has 8 digits which when trying to enter it would not accept it. As this means we may not get our tickent. Just hope they do not take a payment .

6comments Hi Sheila. There is, yes, the Mayor parades in wearing ceremonial robes alongside the Sword Bearer and Sergeant-at-Arms (the Common Cryer) who calls for order at the start

7comments Hi Carlos. No, it doesn’t include any shows
