Cameron Mackintosh's legendary production of Les Miserables has been wowing West End audiences for more than 30 years, enthralling them with its timeless story of injustice, redemption and revolution.

The epic tale is set during the revolutionary era of 19th-century Paris, and follows the story of Jean Valjean after his release from prison.

After 20 years working on a chain gang he returns to society as an outcast. The kindly Bishop of Digne wants to give him a fresh start in life, but old habits die hard and Valjean repays his trust by stealing a pair of candlesticks. The Bishop quickly forgives him but the ruthless policeman Javert won't give up so easily.

Critically acclaimed soundtrack

Composer Claude-Michel Schonberg collaborated with lyricist Alain Boublil and librettist Herbert Kretzmer to create the critically acclaimed score which includes classic songs such as I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, Bring Him Home, One Day More, and the rousing Master Of The House.
