Euston ⇄ Leyton Station | Tube Journey, Train Times & Fares

The journey from Euston to Leyton is in fare zones 1-3 and you’ll have to use the Victoria, Hammersmith & City and Central tube lines, changing trains at King’s Cross St. Pancras and Liverpool Street

The London Overground at Euston underground station has step-free access from the street to the platform, but there may be a step up or gap to the train. The Northern and Victoria lines are not wheelchair accessible

Leyton station is not wheelchair accessible

Euston station entrance – You can use an escalator between the entrance and the booking hall. If you want to avoid the escalator then you can use four flights of stairs (3 steps down +2x17 steps down +8 steps down). After that you can use an escalator down to the Victoria line and Bank branch of the Northern line platforms, or an escalator plus two flights of stairs to the Charing Cross branch of the Northern line (14 steps down +13 steps down)

Changing tube line at King’s Cross St. Pancras – There’s a lift when changing between the platforms

Changing tube line at Liverpool Street – You can use a lift or escalator when changing between the Central line and National Rail platforms, or the Central line and the H&C eastbound platform. You can use a lift when changing between the H&C eastbound and National Rail platforms. But you must use stairs for all other platform changes

Leyton station exit – You must use two flights of stairs between the platforms and the Leyton High Road exit (13 steps up +14 steps up), but four flights of stairs to the car park exit (13 steps down +14 steps down +14 steps up +13 steps up)

This tube journey is in Oyster zones 1-3. The cheapest fare is £3 off-peak (£3.70 peak) when you pay by Oyster or contactless. There’s no return fare, you just pay the same as two single tickets

Peak and off-peak journey times

For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards it’s any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends are always classed as off-peak. Note: Between the 8th March and 31st May 2024 TFL are running a trial called ‘Off-Peak Friday Fares’, where Fridays will be classed as off-peak all day.

The fare is based on what time your journey begins. It doesn’t matter what time your journey ends.
