Peak and off-peak journey times
For Oyster and contactless off-peak is outside the hours of 6.30 AM-9.30 AM and 4 PM-7 PM (Mon-Fri). For travelcards off-peak is any time after 9.30 AM (Mon-Fri). Weekends and public holidays are always classed as off-peak. Note: Between the 8th March and 31st May 2024 TFL are running a trial called ‘Off-Peak Friday Fares’, where Fridays will be classed as off-peak all day.

Changing train platforms – Changing between the Bakerloo/Jubilee line is on the level, but you must use two flights of stairs for eastbound changes on the Circle/Metropolitan/H&C line (8 steps down +21 steps down) or three flights of stairs for westbound changes on the Circle/Metropolitan/H&C line (8 steps down +2x10 steps down)

Clare Rowe Is there a pickup/drop off area at Baker Street station?
Staff Not really. There's a little slip road in front of it, separate from the main road, but it's for the buses. If you stop there for a while you'll get beeped. But there are plenty of quiet residential streets nearby, so you shouldn't have a problem dropping someone off.
Anng Is there a left luggage facility at Baker Street? We are going to Madame Tussaud's before heading out to Heathrow
Staff Hi, not at Baker Street. You have to go to the National Rail stations for those. The closest one to Madame Tussauds is Marylebone, but you'll probably want to leave your luggage at Paddington instead if you're going to Heathrow (assuming you're getting the Heathrow Express)

Staff Hi Jan. No, you have to use an escalator down to the Bakerloo line

Staff Hi Alan, no. Depending on which platform you're coming from you'll either have escalators or stairs. The Bakerloo and Jubilee lines have escalators. The Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines will have some stairs. There are no lifts from any of the platforms.
Stein Which platform should I catch if I want to go to King's Cross?
Staff Hi Stein. You'll need an eastbound platform for the Circle, Metropolitan or Hammersmith & City line. They all go to King's Cross. (Don't get the Bakerloo or Jubilee line, because they don't.)

Staff Hi Millie. If you mean the first and last train times then it depends on the day of the week and what tube line you're using. If you stick your destination into the 'tube journey planner' section above, then it will bring up the first and last train times.

Staff Hi. They only have the manned ticket windows at National Rail stations these days, so the closest one would be Marylebone
