Your comments and questions
Val I am meeting a friend here and neither of us have been here before. Where is the best meeting point either in the station or outside? Thank you
Staff I would say outside. There's a big famous landmark just around the corner... you can't miss it... St Paul's! The front steps are only a few minutes walk away. I would suggest meeting there
Pete Going to Barts hospital, which exit out of St Paul's station should I take please?
Staff The one onto St Martin's Le Grand. But honestly it doesn't really matter, because the one onto Cheapside is only over the road. Then you walk down St Martins Le Grand, left into Angel Street, right into King Edward Street and keep going till you see the hospital entrance
Val Barry Are there lifts at the station ?
Staff Hi Val. No, you have to use stairs. There’s no way to avoid them unfortunately
Gloria Gladden I need to get to barts hospital from becontree but can't use escalators what is the easiest way
Staff Hi Gloria. If you can use stairs then the easiest way is probably to get the district line to Mansion House, and then walk 20 mins to barts. If you can’t use stairs then it’s a more difficult journey with lots of walking and/or a couple of changes on the bus and tube. Have a look at TFL journeys planner and select the option for ‘step-free access’ to see all the options - tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/
Sadaf Is there any lift on St. Paul station
Staff Hi Sadaf. No, it’s just stairs and escalators, as described above
Phyllis Phyl i am going to st. paul’s is there a lift
Staff Hi Phyllis. No, it’s just stairs and escalators, as described above
Penny Hi I am petrified of escalators Is it possible to only use the Stairs to exit the station from the platform
Staff Hi Penny. You can avoid the escalators, but it adds a lot more stairs - an extra 7 or 11 flights, depending on what platform you want. It's all described in the 'Platform stairs' section above
