Your comments and questions

Lynda Fraser Is it a direct train from Paddington to Charing Cross

Staff It's direct if you get the Bakerloo line

Laura Once I get to Paddington what do I take to get to London Eye?

Staff Hi Laura. I would get the Bakerloo line to Waterloo, and walk it from there. It's only a 5-10 minute walk

Leah Is it easy to catch a cab from Paddington station. I arrive on a weekday afternoon, is there usually cabs waiting, or would I have to book one?

Staff Hi Leah. It's a very busy station so they're practically always lining up outside. If they're not outside the station itself then there might be some outside the Hilton nextdoor

dean corcoran I can’t use escalators as I’m disabled and going to Paddington underground to Wembley Central Is there a lift after the escalator or normal stairs to catch the underground train to Wembley Central

Staff Hi Dean. The only other way down to the Bakerloo platform other than the escalator are four flights of 18 stairs. There's no lift down there

dean corcoran I can manage them if I take my own time can’t rush down them

Gary What is the 1st tube from Paddington to King's Cross today

Christine When arriving at Paddington Railway Station from Reading is there a lift to the Westbound District/Circle line? I usually have to go up lots of stairs cross a bridge then down more stairs to reach the platform. If there is no lift how can I avoid these stairs with a heavy case. Thank you.

Staff Hi Christine. No, they've only got a lift to the Circle/District eastbound platform, and the Circle/H&C branch that goes towards Hammersmith. There's no way to avoid the stairs otherwise

John Hogan How long of a walk is it from the H&C Underground station in Paddington to the main train station (for Great Western Railway train) in Paddington?

Joan Christensen Is there a lift from the Heathrow Express platform in Paddington to the Circle Line eastbound to King's Cross? I am unable to carry a heavy suitcase.

Staff Hi Joan. Yes, there is a lift to the Circle line eastbound platform from the National Rail concourse, which is where the Heathrow Express comes in to

Myriam PROU I booked a return ticket from Gatwick to Paddington. On the way to London, we have to change at Farringdon but apparently on the return we must go from Paddington to Victoria and change to Gatwick. Is it complicated ? or fairly direct ?

Staff Hi Myriam. It's pretty easy, you can just get the Circle line straight to Victoria. Then you'll have to get a lift up to the National Rail platforms for your Gatwick train - city-guide.london/transport/train-journey.php?from=paddington&to=victoria

M Louw I need to travel from Nottingham to hesthrow terminal 2 via paddington- are there escalators at paddington zs I have 2 large suitcases- I can't get in lifts- am very claustrophobic

Staff Hi M Louw. If you're planning on getting a National Rail train into Paddington followed by the Heathrow Express then there's no need to go down into the underground bit. The Heathrow Express leaves from the National Rail platforms up top

M Louw Sorry I am a little confused tge map finder tells me to take the Nottingham underground to paddington - then heathrow express where do I go to get a national rail entrance from notting hill to paddington and then on to heathrow express- J zm staying in notting hill

Staff It's a direct train from Notting Hill Gate - city-guide.london/transport/train-journey.php?from=notting-hill-gate&to=paddington. If you want to avoid the lift then you'll have to climb three flights of stairs from the Circle line platforms to the main booking hall in Paddington. (Only the Bakerloo line has an escalator). Then you'll just walk to the National Rail platforms, where the Heathrow Express leaves from. (By the way, Nottingham and Notting Hill are two completely different places - Nottingham is halfway up the country)

Steve w How long does it take by taxi from Paddington station to new street square at 8am

Staff Hi Steve. It’s about 4 miles, so maybe 15 minutes

Peter How easy to go to Paddington Railway Station from the Elizabeth Line platform because I will be travelling with heavy luggage ?

Staff Hi Peter. there are both lifts and escalators for the elizabeth line, which come out near platform 1

Jen How do I get from Paddington to Waterloo station? Would the tube be feasible while having luggage?

Staff Hi Jen. Here you go - city-guide.london/transport/train-journey.php?from=paddington&to=waterloo - You should be okay with luggage, the escalators and stairs are described on that page

Paula I am going from Euston Square Tube Station to Paddington to catch the Heathrow Express with two suitcases is there a lift or escalator? Thank You
