Oyster, contactless or travelcard? 59comments Staff Hi Chris. It depends whether you’re from the UK or abroad. Like we say above, if you have a UK bank card then the cheapest fares are with your contactless card. If you have a foreign bank card then you should go with Oyster in case your bank adds on a transaction fee every time you use it overseas
Bank station 34comments Staff Hi Andrea. You’d have to use some stairs. It’s also a long walk to the DLR platform at Bank (very long). You haven’t got many decent alternatives though. You could change onto the Jubilee line at London Bridge, and then change again onto the DLR at Canning Town. They should all be lifts and escalators, but no stairs
Euston station 41comments Staff Hi Joanna. Where are you seeing that the station is closed? As far as we are aware, the only planned works on that day are with the escalators down to the underground platforms. But there is a lot of building work going on at Euston at the moment

St. John’s Wood station 10comments Staff Hi John. No, its just underground. The closest National Rail station is Marylebone
Train fares 44comments Staff Hi Syl. The reason we say that, is because if you have a bank card issued overseas then your bank might add on a transaction fee every time you buy a bus or train ticket, because it’s in a different currency. And that will make them a lot more expensive compared with using an Oyster card, for example. So you might want to check with your bank first. Otherwise we would suggest getting a Visitor Oyster card, which can be posted overseas before you go – city-guide.london/transport/visitor-oyster-cards.php
Liverpool Street station 39comments Staff Hi David. Its the same building but the National Rail / Overground platforms are upstairs. Taxis 49comments Staff Hi Sharon. We don’t give quotes but it’s just under 3 miles, so it could be anything from £13 to £23 depending on whether it’s a weekday or weekend and how long the journey takes. You should be able to get everything into one taxi
